Oh, my goodness! Let me tell you about the absolute gem of a hotel I discovered in Kyushu, Japan - The Blossom Kumamoto! This place and its staff are like no other, seriously. They made our stay beyond incredible, and I just can't thank them enough.

Okay, now, let's talk about Mr. Ogata and Ms. Kadogawa - the absolute heroes of our trip! So, picture this: we had this super important TEDx talk on the Noh Stage, and suddenly I realized we needed these super specific "Tabi slippers."

Now, most hotels would've been like, "Sorry, no clue!"
But not here! They sprang into action like true superheroes and found a solution right there in the hotel. Amazing! They saved the TEDx talk!

Without them, we would not have been able to step onto the traditional Japanese Noh theatre stage, literally. The custom mandates white Tabi slippers that have never been worn for each time you step onto the stage. We are forever grateful!

And let me tell you, the rest of the staff? Just pure magic! Every single day, they welcomed us with these genuine smiles that made us feel like we were old buddies catching up. I mean, talk about friendly vibes! They had this perfect balance of being professional and warm-hearted, making us feel oh-so-special.

Now, let me give a shout-out to this wonderful lady in the breakfast restaurant. She was an absolute angel! Dealing with my wheat allergy and food choices is always a challenge, but she swooped in like a guardian angel every morning. Her smile could light up a room, and she made us feel right at home. What a ray of sunshine!

Now, onto the rooms - oh boy, were they spacious! And let me tell you, that's a rarity in Japan, my friend. We could easily have meetings and go through presentation notes on the comfy couch without feeling cramped. And let's not forget about the mighty Wi-Fi signal! It was rock solid, keeping us connected without a hitch. The room's clean, Japanese aesthetic added this touch of serenity that made our stay feel like a blissful escape. Zen vibes all around!

I have to give a special mention to the amazing maid service. They were not only friendly but also considerate. They always waited until we were out of the room before doing their thing, which was so thoughtful. And can we talk about that mini fridge? It kept our drinks icy cold and refreshing, a true lifesaver! Oh, and guess what? They even provided charging cables for different phone types. Seriously, it's the little things that make a big difference!

Okay, I'll admit it. At first, I was considering some more budget-friendly options, but wow, am I glad we chose The Blossom Kumamoto! These folks are absolute legends when it comes to going above and beyond. They truly saved the day and made our stay absolutely unforgettable.

So, if you're planning a visit to Kyushu, take my word for it and treat yourself to The Blossom Kumamoto. The staff's friendly, outgoing, and dedicated nature will blow you away. A massive shout-out to Mr. Ogata, Ms. Kadogawa, and the entire team for making our stay a dream come true. We're forever grateful for your...

The overall aesthetics of the hotel were gorgeous! The view from the hotel lobby was breathtaking—you could see the mountains to the right as well as the city and roads to the left. I was truly stunned and impressed by the simple yet elegant furnishings and interior design in the hotel lobby. The hotel itself is considerably large but the overall layout makes it feel smaller, giving it a somewhat homey and comfortable atmosphere while also maintaining its unique ambience of sophistication and elegance. ||The hotel staff are very kind and more than willing to assist with any troubles or concerns regardless of the slight language barrier that exists if you cannot speak Japanese. I really appreciated their patience and thoughtfulness! I would like to commend their warm hospitality and receptiveness. ||I absolutely loved the room! It was adequately sized and provided a plethora of useful daily amenities which saved us from having to go downstairs to a convenience store to buy things. My favourite part about the room was the beds—they were super soft and comfortable to sleep in! I slept very well every night during my stay at hotel :) However, one downside is that you may have to walk for a while down the winding corridors from where the elevators are to get to your room (depending on your room number). ||My family and I ate the breakfast meal every morning. While the selection of food remained the same every day, it always tasted delicious! There was a good range of food to choose from. I particularly enjoyed drinking the miso soup (it was delicious) as well as testing out the wide variety of furikake that they offer. ||The location of the hotel itself was also excellent—it is situated right on top of a bustling mall filled with all sorts of stores, and it is right beside the Kumamoto train station as well as a number of bus and tram stops. We never had any trouble getting around the city and exploring all that it had to offer with how easy it was to locate the right transportation services. ||Overall, I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Blossom Kumamoto hotel and would definitely recommend it! Thank you to the hotel for providing us with such a phenomenal stay in the wonderful city...

It is difficult to find a hotel and opinions on comfort and cleanliness are subjective. Hotel overall- Staff was incredibly helpful. We were promptly greeted at check in and walked over to the desk then walked to the elevators. Cleanliness of hotel is very clean. Did not see random hairs, dirt in corners or dirty walls. We’d give it a 10/10. Room - it was small but also very nice. The room had enough space for 2 people with 2 carry ons as we didn’t bring our larger suitcases to this hotel not I think there would be no issue fitting them in. Bathroom has no soaking tub but a very nice shower and super soft towels. There was pajamas in the room that you could use to go to the hotel bath or lounge in the room. Italy very clean upon arrival. 10/10 Bed- this is the must important part of a hotel room for us. My partner and I prefer medium soft and medium firm. We would say on a scale from soft(1) to concrete (10) this bed would be 8/10 in firmness. We each had 2 pillows to use and choose from but they are traditionally a bit hard. We realize beds are not generally soft in Japan but just something to keep in mind. Overall we felt like this hotel was a bit “fancy” without being pretentious and was definitely worth the cost. It has a beautiful lobby which I think could be even more enjoyable when the weather is warmer.

A really nice hotel above the mall immediately outside Kumamoto Station. Check-in and check-out were easy because the people running the front desk spoke English. The layout of the room is better than usual, with a sofa next to the bed and a small table at the sofa. The toilet and shower each have their own small room. The highlight is the public bath. There's one for each gender. Despite instructions to bring a towel, there's no need to. When you enter, you put your shoes in a cubby and clip a number to them for later identification. Then you go to the locker room, put your clothes in the locker, and put the key around your wrist. Then grab a small towel and head to one of the wash stations to clean yourself before soaking in the large and elegant bath. You can put the towel on your head while soaking. Afterwards, there's a barrel of cold water or you can shower off. There are three coin-operated washing machines by the entrance to each of the baths. These can dry as well as wash your clothes, but they don't dry them very well. I recommend hanging your clothes wherever you can in the room. I didn't try the hotel breakfast. I wanted to leave early so I bought an ekiben at a konbini in the station and ate it on the shinkansen.
