Located on the border of the old town of Kurashiki, Bikan Historical Quarter. We were a group of 4 and were experienced promot friendly service. Two of our mains consisted of different flavoured Japanese curry, rice, and garnish. The other two of us tried the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki. Yum. The Okonomiyaki was layered and nearly the size of our dinner plate. Very generous serving. The chef is also an artist, and some of his work is dispayed on the walls, including an impressively detailed artist impression of what old Kurashiki looked like. They serve okonomiyaki which looks delicious but I had the cheese omelette curry and oh my god it was by far the yummiest curry I've ever had. I ate it all up within 5 minutes because it was just so good Iost myself in it. The owners are so friendly and accommodating, vegetarian friendly and the place is so clean and quaint and pretty. Read moreShame we were the only ones in the restaurant but it was late Sunday evening, anyway we had a really great evening/meal. The couple that ran the restaurant were so helpful/nice they had an English menu and spoke enough English. The food was very good and we ate off of the hot plate which was a good experience. When we had finished our meal and paid, the owner took us to where the Fireflies were in the old town and gathered all the people who could speak Japanese on the way like the pied piper.
