ジンギスカン えいじん 倶知安店（Genghis Khan Eijin Kucchan) — Restaurant in Kutchan

Don’t be fooled by the high rating. They coerce the customers into give a 5 star rating (see photo) and quite aggressively so.

The waiter was obnoxious. He didn’t let us cook the meat the way we wanted to - which one would assume is the whole point. The lamb is imported from Australia (meh). There’s no table grill. Instead, it’s a little shabu shabu gas heater with a pan on top. The meat quality is so so. The way it’s served is not good (wrong order of putting in the ingredients).

The place has no ventilation - prepare to have your clothes reek of mutton musk. Everything is full of grease. We had to shower after. Frankly, unacceptable.

There are much better options in this town. I was not convinced....

Went to this restaurant for dinner with 2 of my friends. The staff kindly explained the menu in detail and was very friendly.

We picked an all-you-can-eat menu. They aske every person at the table tf order at least one drink with the all-you-can-eat course.

They'll cook the first round of shoulder roses for you, and every table gets a change of hot plate (but only once! So you should ask foa change strategically).

Some items on the menu are slightly more tricky to cook (like horumon, spare ribs), so, beware.

Overall, would highly recommend! I'm not sure if I'll find myself in Niseko again, I'd definitely...

TO EVERYONE VIEWING THIS REVIEW, I don’t know why they have 4 stars in google review but DON'T USE THIS RESTAURANT. This restaurant is the worst restaurant i’ve ever used. If you go to this restaurant, you will definitely regret it when you check out and will get furious at this restaurant. I visited here a week ago. at the time of paying the bill, they suddenly charged 500 yen per person for the seat and they refused issuing receipt (They probably don't want the tax office to find out that they're doing shady business) I will never come...
