I had been waiting to come here for lunch for a WHOLE week. The last time we came on a Thursday, the restaurant was closed. Word of advice - always check with restaurants to see if they’re open because winter opening hours might be different and it’s never a good idea to rely on google maps solely for opening hours.
Anyways, I was excited to try the restaurant because I’ve read somewhere that they make a killer veggie soups curry with vegan broth! If you have never tried soup curry, it is not the same as the usual thick and mildly sweet Japanese curry that you get from coco ichibanya. It’s soupy/ watery with a bit of a kick and is usually served with rice.
The menu is a bit confusing but basically you choose the curry from the second page, then choose the broth, rice amount, and spiciness from the first page. You then write down your order on the slip of paper provided and bring it to the cashier. I ordered the 13 vegetables soup curry with medium sized rice and 4 for spiciness. You can also ask them to add the free veggie topping of the day!
The soup curry was just what we needed after walking in the snow. It was warm and the vegetables were crisp and tender but not overdone. I would’ve loved if there were more tofu and more veggies in the curry, but overall, it was a nice and affordable meal. I will definitely order it with large rice and extra tofu next time.

Read moreI usually always read reviews before visiting and this place had not great reviews. Unfortunately I had to try this because this was the only opened shop serving curry. Not worth it!
My comments: The soup is extremely salty! The depth of flavours were bland. Other people in the shop also complained about it being “shuppai”
The worst is quantity of vegetables in a city where there is farm everywhere! The peppers were cut so thin almost like wafer as you see in picture. Overall only 2-3 vegetables like cabbage and potato and pumpkin. Others are next to null as if non existent.
They no chicken leg as there is some supply issue so all you get is 3 small chicken boneless piece for 1600yen which is very expensive. FYI others shops nearby have chicken leg. This place that 3 small bites of chicken felt worthless as in grocery store you can buy 2kg chicken in 700yen in Niseko.
Ordered extra topping of quail egg which is 150yen for 2 piece.
Just because the entire place is filled with foreigners and no competition this place is selling a curry worth paying not more than 700yen!
Essentially they are making profits worth 90%....
Read moreThis place has awesome soup curry. Their spice blend is unique - definitely worth the trip down from the resort area.
Their veggies are super fresh and are definitely the stars of the show. They have so many ways of combining the soup-meat-veggie-spiciness-extras that you will be able to create something that fits your taste and appetite.
It's a small place (20 seats), so be prepared to wait. There were only 2 gents running the entire place and there were 2 other groups that were seated just before we came, so our wait was much longer than normal. A single who walked in much later got his meal within 15 min.
We'll definitely come back.
(Side note - they do takeaway too, if you want to order ahead and beat the queue...
