Izakaya Nidaime Samurai — Restaurant in Kutchan

Food was decent, unfortunately we were charged $650 (AUD) for 7 people. Looking from the menu we were only served between $25-40 worth of food per person leaving over $300 unanswered for. 6 glasses of Saki and 1 beer wouldn’t account for that either. Language barrier also didn’t help the issue as no one could give us an answer as to why it was so much. Hope this was a honest mistake and not taking advantage...

We enjoyed a lovely dinner, however when it came time to pay, the total amount was written on a scrap of paper. It wasn’t till after I had paid and requested the receipt, did I notice we were charged for the ‘complimentary’ dish offered to us on arrival (not ordered) and also over charged for 2 dishes. Overall overcharged around AUD$40. Won’t be dining...

We had an excellent dinner at Samurai. We did the unlimited drink deal with 6 dishes for 90 minutes and all the food and drinks were delicious. It ended up being ¥4000 per person but I thought it was worth it. Staff were really friendly and helpful and didn't mind our bad attempt to speak Japanese. Would definitely...
