I moved to the area recently and I tried a few different coffee shops before I found this one. It’s by far the best in Kutchan.
First of all the ambience is perfect, the music is gentle and not too loud. The windows are big so it’s bright in there - good for reading.
Secondly, it has consistent seating arrangements - (Unlike the popular Sprout Coffee whose seating is very inconsistent and on a busy day you are left with a backless seat and a tiny side table). Mountain Kiosk Coffee is much better as all the seats are the same; comfortable, good height, plenty of desk space and a power outlet at each.
Thirdly, the service is wonderful. The coffee is delicious and the people who run the cafe are always very friendly. One of the women makes all the baked goods, you must try the brownie, cookie cinnamon swirl and the cheese waffle sandwich - all delicious! I tried the cheese waffle sandwich yesterday and I’m going to have it again today.

Read moreThis is a cozy and spacious cafe. I liked the seasonal menu, the autumn specials had ginger bread latte, nutty tarts some other items. The staff were friendly and didn’t rush our orders as I tried to decide which drink to try.
I like the movable WiFi info on the table and a glass of water was given with the coffee. There are also small baskets to put your bag/jacket. I like these details.
The ginger latte had a nice strong ginger flavour which I like, however it had a little too much clumps in it, itched my throat and I couldn’t finish it. The nutty tart tasted good, but it wasn’t heated up thoroughly, the top was warm but the bottom was still cold. The cheesecake tasted like cheesecake, I would probably want to try something...
Read moreThe atmosphere, the cozy wood style and the over vibe of the cafe is perfect for the area.
The staff here spoke English well and were very kind. The store brand swag and the curated mountain wood theme was on point. The quality of the coffee and tea lattes were fantastic. They also have seasonal flavors, we tried the following so far: House Hazelnut Latte, house Hojicha latte, seasonal ginger bread latte and the seasonal salt caramel latte. We also tried the house flan and the house butter waffle. Both amazing and not too sweet. Perfect pairings with...
