Found this place after a tiring hike downhill. Totally satisfied our unagi crave as we tried both grilled eel kabayaki (with sauce) and shirayaki (without sauce). For kabayaki we tried the Hitsumabushi set with rice, tofu side dish, clear soup and condiments. The grilled eel was tender with chargrilled fragrance also in the rice below. English Instructions were clear and as foreigners we were able to appreciate how to finish the set in 3 servings by adding different condiments or soup. Personally I like it best without condiments because the grilled eel was already good enough. The white eel was a nice surprise as it was so crispy and I have never enjoyed such nice texture elsewhere. I added a bit of mashed ginger which added more magic to the taste. We also tried unagi egg roll which was freshly served hot and smooth. The plain Japanese decor was one of its kind and waiters were so warm and welcoming.
