Being a tourist and first time visitor to this authentic local restaurant, you'd think we'd be treated with Japanese hospitality. Instead, we were served up with their speciality of the day: a large bowl of pure RUDENESS. Our group of 8 were forced to order 1 main each, though not all of us were hungry. Some of us just wanted small bites, but no. I could understand if the restaurant was packed and non-diners were hogging seats, but there were only 2 other customers. Loved their marinade which made the yakitori taste so good, with right amount of umami, saltiness, a hint of sweetness too. The chicken was cooked perfectly- good amount of charring in the meat while maintaining tenderness and juicyness of the chicken. The price is not bad either. ❤️ Highly recommend.
**Apparently they have a restaurant inside that offers more on their menu, but wasnt able to try. Would probably hit this spot again if I ever visit Kyoto to try other items...
