This place was awesome! My boyfriend and I had been walking around this area heading towards the temple earlier in the day. We ran into a man walking his dog. We pet the dog and went on our way. After the temple we were looking for a place to eat, and tried this place. Turns out the man that owns this place was the same man we saw walking his dog earlier. He was so nice and welcoming. He brought out his tablet so he could chat with us through translator. The food was delicious I got the wild plants salt ramen, and my boyfriend got soba. My ramen had such a delicate flavor that I've never tasted before in ramen. It was so good. My boyfriends soba was really good too, it was very viscous, bordering on gelatinous. The very nice owner also gave us what I think are basically red bean paste filled pancakes. They were very tasty and he said Kyoto is known for them. Bonus we got to play with his dog more!

It was Sunday lunch before going to Ninnaji and the other temples around. We were looking for something light but not in the mood for kombini stuff. Kagari was great! Even in a hot day, lamen was so light but full of flavors that covered all our needs! My husband had the lamen with charshiu that was tasty and tender. I had the lamen with wild plants that was a surprise! Service was awesome, very kind and quick. The place was quiet with a smooth music in the background. Hope that more people can enjoy It! おみやげありがとう!ご馳走様でした

The description might be a bit misleading as it says “coffee shop” on maps - in reality the place offers much more than coffee and is suitable for lunch/dinner! We had an occasion to try delicious and traditional Kyoto (and other) Japanese food in family-like ambience 🫶🏻 The owner even introduced us to his cute fluffy dog 🤗 Thank you so much for the warm welcome and super food, origami we got will bring back a lot of memories 😊

Tried many ramen in Japan, first time to try Kyoto ramen, it was pleasantly light, refreshing and had a small slice of lemon. Roast pork rice was a nice addition to the ramen. Red tomato curry was also a winner for my daughter. Must also try the Maccha parfait. Reasonable prices for quality of food, cost environment. English menu available, staff friendly and can speak English as well.

Family run local restaurant. Owner & staff were warm and welcoming. The Kyoto style Ramen with seasoned egg was perfect. Full of flavour with a touch of citrus. Owner made light conversation by asking where I was from. To my surprise he gifted me an origami crane made from the flag of my country. I left with a full stomach and heart ❤️. Would definitely go back again.

Walking distance from the main gate of Ninna-ji Temple. The friendly staff make you feel right at home. This small ramen restaurant offers rich, flavorful broths and perfectly cooked ramen. I picked a cold one, was very delicious on a hot day! Cozy ambiance, convenient location just nearby the train station.
