I wanted to try an authentic Kyoto dessert, and this café looked like a nice, quiet escape from the crowded street—so we decided to step in. The café is located on the second floor of a luxury souvenir shop. I ordered a set with matcha and a selected confectionary. I’m not an expert in matcha, but it tasted good to me, and it was served in an adorable bowl. The wagashi also looked delicately crafted and beautifully presented. We negotiated with them for a Japanese style Vase and made it very clear we were able to only spend up to $300.00 American Dollars. However they charged our credit card Y300,000 which equals $3000.00 American Dollars and claimed that's what we negotiated for.
