Aquarium Cafe & Bar ZorA — Restaurant in Kyoto

I went in because I share the name of the cafe and wanted to know the story of a Japanese restaurant being called Zora. Turns out it’s the family last name! Zora-san was very friendly and showed off his frogs and cats. We had a wonderful time chatting though much of it was through my friend who is nearly fluent- but the owner is very clearly a friendly man and is passionate about his animals and takes good care of them. Quaint little cafe close to the Hōkan-ji Temple. Good place to stop off for a beer in a ice cold glass! Reasonable prices and good menu.
