Rinn Gion Yasaka — Hotel in Kyoto

Located super close to a lot of different popular sites within walking distance.

I was able to get to Gion in less than 10-15 minutes and was able to take the bus anywhere very easily.

🛌 Staff were super accommodating.

Only downside is they clean the room every 4 days so you have to ask the front desk for coffee and tea. They're very kind about giving a lot of extras though. All other amenities include razors, toothpaste and toothbrush, comb, cotton pads and q tips. There's a lot of other stuff you can request from the front. There's an entire list in the elevator too!

🛒Food: There's a 7-11 very close by within a 5 minute walk or less with a lot of options. Dinner wise, you have to walk further away to get options.

🍱 Food delivery: You have the ability to order UberEATS to the hotel and the staff will call your room to let you know the driver has delivered the food. You need to walk down to get your food but it's no big deal.

🧺🫧 Laundry: Located on the 2nd floor in front of the elevator. You can't miss it. Very nice how the detergent is released and part of the service. It's a dryer and washer all in one. There are 2 machines only so don't try cleaning your clothes in the evening. It's super busy and the rounds take about 2 hours. It's pretty neat how you also put in a personal password before starting your load so no one can touch it. However the downfall is you can't open the machine in between washing and dryer cycles so don't put stuff in you need...

We stayed in this place for 5 days and loved it.||Location was quite and not many tourist which we liked.||Our room was quite big and spacious. There were 2 king-size beds and another area with tatami mats. The room size was huge for just the three of us. The spacious toilet had a separate water closet, two lavatories, and a shower with a tub. ||A small refrigerator is located near the entrance and so as a Nespreso machine plus an electric kettle. Coffee cups and minor utensils are also provided.¹||A washing machine is located on the 2nd floor and so as a microwave for the guest to use. This was really nice as you can just heat up some ready to eat meals which you can buy at the supermarket which was only 5-7 minutes away.||Room cleaning wasn't done every day but can be with a minimal charge.||Staff were all friendly.||We should have stayed longer.||We we very happy with our stay here and I would highly recommend this place. I'll probably still stay here if I decide to visit...

Great affordable and beautiful hotel with very good staff. Rooms are sized nicely for even 3 people with total of 5 suitcases. This layout requires the 2 beds plus an extra futon for the setup we had, but you can't lay out more than 2-3 suitcases.

Staff speaks English and were very accommodating when it came to luggage shipping (just a warning you need to ship the day before you check out if you want the suitcases to arrive the day you arrive at a new hotel).

I would recommend an off day one of your days so that you can run the laundry and maybe read a manga from their library while you wait for the wash to cycle through (2 hour wash+dry cycle). Laundry is super easy to run and additional amenities mean you don't need to buy much from nearby stores.

7/11 right around the corner as well as bus stop were used frequently for basic necessities and transit. Only downside is it is a 15 minute walk if you want either nearby...
