If you don’t speak Japanese, forget about this place. The English set menu is overpriced. Sadly, I am able to read Japanese menu and noticed the assorted sashimi over rice is ¥1800 and the set is ¥3500 with some random pickles and soup added. I added an order of Grilled Sweet Snapper from the Japanese menu but was served with a grilled fish head. I am pretty sure no local customer would ever be treated like this.

There are two Kaisen Don in the menu, priced at ¥1800 and ¥1500. If there is truly an even more premium version of the same item, I would expect to see it in the Japanese menu as well. I would accept the explanation if there were an ¥2800 one.

The sashimi wasn’t fresh when I arrived at 9pm, and the urchin was more bitter and fishy than I would’ve liked. The miso was too salty. They don’t...
