SHIN — Hotel in Kyoto

Shin is a wonderful and helpful host. Very clean and modern design. Definitely cleaner than most B&B's and hotels I've stayed in.

Right next to the San-In line connecting Kyoto station to Arashiyama.

There is only one shower but there are several sento nearby, if needed.

If you have accessability needs, it may not suit you, as the stairs are very steep and narrow and there is no elevator.

It's also close to a major road, but if you are a light sleeper there are complimentary earplugs.

By far the best hostel experience!! We traveled to Japan for 2 weeks, and stayed at 2 apartments and 3 hostels.. Shin definitely took first place. This is more than a hostel, it feels like a home. There wasn't a day that Shin didn't help us! He looked up restaurants online, carried our luggage up and down the stairs, and even folded our laundry! I strongly recommend his place to everyone. I can't wait to visit Kyoto again!

Probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, and easy to find. Shin is a true gentleman. He helped us with our itinerary for our time spent in Kyoto to make sure we got the most out of our stay. We were immediately made to feel very welcome, and he truly goes above and beyond as a host.
