After visiting Kinkaku-ji, we were looking for a nearby place to eat with the kids and were really craving ramen. We found this small spot right by the bus stop where we got off. It was run by a very kind woman who seemed to handle everything on her own. The food was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the cozy, authentic feel of the place. Read moreI -love- this place! I was the only customer on a cold and rainy day, and ordered hot green tea and egg udon. It was simple and delicious and exactly what I needed. The owners were very lovely people, friendly and kind. I was starving and ate the whole set at once; they applauded when I finished which made all of us laugh. I only know a couple Japanese phrases, and they didn’t speak much English, but they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I hope they know how happy they made me in return....
