Gyū Kimura — Restaurant in Kyoto

An absolute gem you won't regret. We made a very last minute reservation and were warmly welcomed even though we came late. We ordered some drinks, and their wagyu shabu set menu. The food was divine, and portions were big too. We followed up with a final bowl of bibimbap because I am a big eater. We then ordered multiple glasses of their recommended sakes, and it was a treat, each one was delicious and made me wanting more. The atmosphere was very peaceful and gorgeous, and the service was absolute top notch, even by Japanese standards.

There is no English menu but it was easy to work out what to order with the help of the lovely lady who served us tonight (and Google translate!). We went with the recommended dish which was a spread of variety of beef cuts for grilling. It was an awesome experience and the beef was super delicious and tender. I will definitely come back if we ever visit...
