Was in a rush so decided to have a quick lunch at the Italian-Japanese restaurant below my Hotel. It turned out to be a good experience for me!
The good:
Food is decent. It may not be authentic Italian food but you can taste the Japanese in it.
Price is reasonable (I guess)?
Service is extremely fast, considering the fact that this is a restaurant serving western food.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, definitely feels like a family restaurant kind of vibe.
The not-so-good:
Food. It is not bad but not great.

Read moreIf you’re in Kyoto and craving Italian food, this is the restaurant for you. We had a Cesar salad and spaghetti bolognese. The salad dressing isn’t traditional but tastes close. It seems to have a smoky flavor, but no anchovy bite. Definitely worth a taste. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked with just enough al dente bite to it. The bolognese sauce was rich and tasted very authentic. Highly recommend!
