The food here was so delicious that out of the 5 days we stayed in Kyoto, my dad and I had breakfast here for 4 of them. Fluffy eggs, creamy potato salad that’s just seasoned right, and mini sausages that are slightly crispy outside and soft inside. My personal favorite was the thick, buttery toast (try dipping it in your coffee–it’s amazing)! My latte was lovely as well. Not too bitter from the espresso, not too creamy from the milk, and not too sweet from the sugar. It was perfect balance of flavor.
In addition, the staff were friendly and attentive. As travelers who unfortunately can’t speak Japanese, we appreciated that there was a full English menu with pictures and that our servers could speak some English.
The vibe of the cafe is nice too. Classy, but still relaxed enough that no one will bat an eye if you show up in your pajamas. We also noticed some other returning customers a couple of the days we came. Clearly this cafe is popular with both travelers and locals.

Cash only. I had the full breakfast, coffee, sausage and scramble egg. Great Toast. 900 Yen (US$6). There were foriegners there, so it's not difficult to order even if you don't speak Japanese.
Great mix of people, some local Japanese old timers reading newspaper (traditional newspaper too!), and some tourists like me.
Store has smooth BGM (piano classics)....

It offers value for money at 680Yen for set of coffee, 2 pieces of bread with melted margarine, scrambled eggs, 2 pork sausages. The bread was toasted perfectly, so Oishī (delicious). We went back twice, due to affordability and delicious, breakfast for 2 days we were in Kyoto. The staff was attentive and obliging, when we told them not to add dairy product the next day. Highly recommended to drop by this quaint coffee place (where even locals...
