We ordered their Uji Matcha and Japanese sweets set and Uji Matcha soft serve ice cream. The matcha is so smooth and the Japanese sweets (I forgot what it is specifically called but contains what appears to be red bean filling) goes well with the matcha. The matcha soft shave in a cone is served with some rice cookies (designed with foxes). The soft shave is refreshing and not too sweet! There is an option to dine in al fresco and one can stay there for 45 mins max. Free hot rice tea is available. Service is good and guides foreign customers. After a tiring walk along Fushimi Inari, Inari Saryo offers a good respite where one can savor matcha while admiring the...

The parfait was not only visually stunning but also tasted delicious. There were many elements layered within that gave different texture which is really enjoyable.

We also ordered the cold matcha soba and a matcha dessert with red bean. The soba was refreshing and enjoyable, though the portion was a little small. The red bean was slightly too sweet for my liking.

We took a number and waited for about five minutes on a Sunday around 1.30pm. They also provide a free rest area for everyone, including those who are not dining at the shop.

I would be happy to revisit, especially for the photogenic and tasty parfait if I...

Best and most beautiful parfait I’ve had in Japan! I love that it comes with a little guide explaining all the different components of the parfait; it has lots of rice elements (eg puffed rice) to honour Inari, the Shinto god of rice, who the shrine is of course named for. The quality of the matcha in both the parfait and the ice cream is also top. If you love matcha, this is for you. They also have a really efficient queue system where you register at a machine, choosing balcony or inside seat, and then get to chill in a nice covered seating area with a view of the gardens...
