As my last night in Kyoto, I thought I can definitely enjoy a lovely A5 Kobe beef. So one of my local foodies introduced me this one - the elite restaurant for Kobe A5 beef dishes. However, it ended up with me feeling rejected as the reception/maybe the owner of the business claimed to me that it was fully booked, but then clearly said welcome, please come in as there are seats available to another western couple in English while me standing there next to them (btw, they have a menu at the front for tourists to check, and the restaurant front was not easy to locate at all.) I was like are you serious? Potentially he thought that I can only speak mandarin? What a joke? And the couple had no reservation and didn’t go in anyway.
This has definitely pulled down my expectation and experience for my food tour in Kyoto. Even though that they may have decent Kobe beef, a racist owner does not deserve any respect and will not be accepted by the public.
Hope they can see this review post and take necessary actions but I know they don’t care lol. What a...
Read moreThe woman who serves was very bad in attitude. Hurry like rush to take her work off, you can’t even relax during your meal. Why doing this to customers? We are polite all the time, maybe we are Asians? I don’t know. We had 2 orders of meals, suppose to have 1 or 2 or 3 pieces of meat for each order right? But we got total 3 pieces in 2 orders. So weird isn’t it? We ask about this while we paid, they said the grams is right. That’s it. Of course I know the weight won’t be wrong but the point is PIECES! 3 for 2? Today is the last day during our trip, you just ruined our trip! ........ After 4 years to review the review I wrote. I guess I forgot to mention that we are party of two and have 2 set orders, and we had made a reservation, and went to restaurant on time and even earlier, not because we are late so the waitress is hurry to serve us, or we are party of 3 so they gave us 3...
Read moreAs tourist we often do get lost especially when the restaurant have multiple branches. Today was an incident where I was traveling with my two kids and my pregnant wife and we were looking forward to our dinner at this restaurant chain. Upon our arrival we were told that we are in the wrong address which to us is not a big deal as we can call a car and head over. However, upon realizing we are not at the branch, the gentleman in front insisted we leave the establishment. Not an offer to call the other branch to say we are late or offer any assistances since it started raining outside but just pushed us to leave the restaurant and asked us to wait outside. He said they are not open but we got there at 5pm when the restaurant is indeed open. Shame that this is how this chain treats its customers, it wasn’t that we are going to a different restaurant but a mere...
