PAUL 京都三条店 — Restaurant in Kyoto

Today I went there and I ordered a mixed sandwich, a pain au chocolat and an expresso. The sandwich was basically empty, with 2 triangles of ham and a paper thin triangle of cheese both the long side facing out to make it look good. The bread was dry and chewy. the tomato inside was full of water and made the all thing watery. yuck! The pain au chocolat was ok but way too sweet and the coffee only one cm high. I would never recommend this place to anyone, there are so many other "French" cafe and boulangeries around, to choose from. Forget about this one. The atmosphere in the room is artificial such as the decoration with lame color photocopies of vintage pictures...

There are many delicious bakeries in Kyoto 😊 Among them, PAUL is famous for its croissants 🤩

The atmosphere of the store is European 😍 There is a showcase at the back of the eat-in space with a variety of breads 💖 I was so excited the moment I saw it.

I avoided the rumored croissant today and ordered this 💖

Just the right amount of sweetness and crispy pie crust 💖. Definitely one to TakeOut if you're not on a foodie trip 🤩🤩🤩🤩

You must order one drink per person to eat in. They only inform you with a small sign next to the register so you probably only notice it when ordering. I would have wanted to see it before entering so I could go somewhere else instead.

The mix sandwich was hard and not so tasty, but the croissant was good.

There's a small oven where you can heat your bread. I thought it was just decoration, but all the regulars were using it after getting...
