Ramen Ichiki, nestled in the charming streets of Kyoto, is a delightful find for any ramen enthusiast or culinary explorer. Despite its modest size, this eatery packs a punch with its exceptional offerings and warm atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists alike.

As you step into Ramen Ichiki, you are immediately enveloped by the inviting aroma of simmering broth and freshly cooked noodles. The cozy interior, with its minimalistic yet traditional Japanese decor, sets the stage for an authentic dining experience. The intimate setting, though small, is meticulously maintained, providing a comfortable space where you can savor your meal in peace.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly their ramen. Each bowl is a masterpiece, crafted with precision and passion. The broth is rich and flavorful, a perfect balance of savory and umami notes that coat your palate with each sip. The noodles are cooked to perfection, offering a delightful chewiness that complements the broth beautifully. Whether you choose the classic tonkotsu, shoyu, or miso ramen, each variant promises a unique taste experience that reflects the depth of traditional Japanese culinary artistry.

In addition to their outstanding ramen, Ramen Ichiki offers a delightful surprise with their Friedrich chicken and rice bowl. This dish is a testament to the restaurant’s versatility and commitment to quality. The chicken is tender and succulent, marinated to perfection, and served atop a bed of fluffy rice. The combination of flavors and textures is both comforting and satisfying, making it a perfect alternative or accompaniment to the ramen.

One of the practical yet noteworthy aspects of Ramen Ichiki is the availability of a clean and well-maintained toilet. This might seem like a minor detail, but it significantly enhances the overall dining experience, especially for travelers who are exploring the city and might need a quick refreshment stop.

The service at Ramen Ichiki is impeccable. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their food. They go out of their way to ensure that each guest feels welcomed and well-cared for, adding a personal touch to the dining experience that is both rare and appreciated.

Despite its small size, Ramen Ichiki manages to create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and inclusive. It's a place where you can enjoy a quiet meal alone or share a joyful dining experience with friends or family. The restaurant's ability to blend the traditional with the contemporary, while maintaining high standards of food quality and service, is truly commendable.

In conclusion, Ramen Ichiki is a gem in Kyoto's vibrant culinary scene. Its excellent ramen, delectable chicken and rice bowl, and thoughtful amenities make it a standout choice for anyone seeking a memorable meal. Whether you are a ramen aficionado or simply in search of a satisfying meal in a welcoming environment, Ramen Ichiki is sure to leave a...

We had spent the day going up and down the hill, doing our tourist shopping, when we realized that we needed some food! While the girls were shopping, I walked up to the take out window and ordered some chicken karaage. Not the small size, but the big one! I thought it was a joke, but the gal took my order and if I'm correct it was 1000 yen - maybe 1500, but it was very reasonable for such a huge plate.

I watched the girl cook our food. Amazingly, she took each piece of chicken and took it out of the bin - I think she counted 22 or so. Then she took each piece and put it in the batter, then rolled it in the flour, then gently placed it in the cooking oil. She did this with each piece, gently treating each one like it was special.

The girls came back from shopping and I told them about the large order of chicken karaage - I pointed to the stack of chicken in the display. They said they were tired and wanted to eat inside. So we walked in and ordered some drinks (there's an order box on the wall when you walk in). When we sat down, I think the workers didn't like it. I could vaguely understand something about we ordered at the outside window and we aren't allowed to eat inside. We didn't know what they were saying and I told them we would pay extra if needed. I don't think they understood my English too well and they gave up and brought our chicken karaage!

It was perfect - a nice meal to give us energy for the rest of the day! I did see them serving some amazing looking ramen, but I was too full to have a bowl!

Excellent chicken karaage, fantastic prices - if you order at the window, but don't be like us and break the...

After a long, hot day of traveling up to Kiyomizu-dera, we were delighted to stumble upon a cool ramen place at the bustling intersection below. The lack of a long wait drew us in, and we decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. The ramen was delicious, with a broth that was flavorful yet not too heavy. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the place was impeccably clean. Whether you're looking for a meal before or after your day trip, this ramen spot is definitely worth a visit. Check it...
