Shitakiri-chaya — Restaurant in Kyoto

Incredible little spot for some traditional Japanese sweets and tea. Happened upon this place while visiting Kiyomizudera with a friend. We decided to stop by since we were tired and wanted to rest.

The atmosphere is amazing. Surrounded by nature and super relaxing. The views were beautiful. My friend and I both had the dango set. The dango had a very mild sweetness and they weren’t too chewy. They paired very well with the tea.

The staff were very friendly and happily greeted us. It’s a small place so you may or may not get a seat, but if there are empty seats, then I highly recommend...
