No Reservations Needed | Kyoto's Walk-In Eats

Since no one uploaded any English menu, I thought I should be the one to do it since this place is so good. It specializes in duck soba, so we tried that plus the duck sashimi. However, we were sitting right in front of where they made tempura, so I had to order some. 10/10 for the food, no wonder they are on the Michelin guide. Note that the English menu does not have the full listing, so if you can Google translate some of the other items, I suggest you do it prior to getting in, since you’ll likely have to wait a really long time anyways. This place has a really long wait time, so expect a queue. But don’t let it bother you cause the food was truly worth it.

I had the Kamo Serio Sona, Buckwheat Noodles with Duck Meat w/ extra Noodles, and a side of assorted tempura. It was my first time having soba, and the taste blew me away. I had never had anything like it as you dip the cold noodles into the duck broth. After seeing how much noodles they gave me when I got extra, I did not expect to finish, but was my appetite wrong! I killed my whole plate of noodles and devoured the duck broth after. The tempura was delicious, too; the waitress said you could eat the shrimp head, which I have not done before, but you sure can. Watch out for getting poked in your mouth 😆. Overall, I would definitely recommend for Soba!

An unforgettable dinner! This Japanese restaurant specializing in dipping soba provided us with a truly unique experience that we will cherish forever.

The place is incredibly welcoming, with a warm and meticulously crafted atmosphere that invites you to relax and immerse yourself in Japanese culinary tradition. The staff was extraordinarily kind, always smiling and attentive, and the chefs showed an authentic passion for their craft. Every dish was a small masterpiece.

The soba? Perfect. The texture of the noodles, the rich flavor of the dipping broth—everything was balanced divinely. Simply the best meal we had during our stay in Tokyo and Kyoto. It’s not just a dinner; it’s a journey through the authentic...
