Nice small restaurant with a cosy feel and good food. You might see at lunch there is a short wait due to the limited seating and some of the tour groups using it for a lunch spot.

There is an English menu, a toilet and the staff are friendly. The prices are a little bit high in my opinion but the food is very good. The only downside is that the curries felt like they could have done with a few more pieces of meat/seafood. E.g. just 3 shrimp or a few lumps of chicken.

The shrimp curry was delicious and really nicely flavoured.

The aigake curry had one that seemed veg based with a really fruity note to it. The other side was a bit richer and more earthy with some chicken. Both were really tasty with a good level of spice. Overall we left feeling full and satisfied.

The staff are really friendly and the environment was clean.

They provide a lunchtime set menu deal as well as some vegan and vegetarian options. The curries came with a side salad and a sweet potato soup, both of which were...

Really relaxing atmosphere… they play like this classical lo-fi type music.

I’m vegeterian so been struggling to find food here but chanced upon it because I was heading to Kinkaju temple.

Food was amazing. Easy to tell the chef really cares about his craft and aims to excel. This food did really touch me.

The service was really nice. Ordered the Yuzu soda which was very refreshing and got the Veg curry meal. Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had since I’ve been in Asia and I have been to Thailand. Singapore and Taiwan. Really really good meal.

All vegans and vegetarians definitely recommend this amazing fabulous restaurant.

The owners deserve all the praise for their...

Must visit for vegetarians/vegans. On our vacation to Japan from India, located at a walking distance from Kinkakuji temple, we tried the Buddha Bowl and the Vegetable Taco at Coco Hana. Wholesome meal and utterly delicious! We also requested for some potato fries to be made and the restaurant kindly obliged (its very rare for Japanese restaurants to accommodate a special request besides the menu). Don't miss out their "chocolate ganache cake" which was too good that we ended up ordering a second. Overall, great ambience, friendly and accommodating staff (kind to take pictures with us and share about their visit to India) and...

We ordered the vegan curry and the chicken curry. Both were unbelievably tasty. The vegan curry had great flavour and a wide variety of salad, with a side of pumpkin soup which was delicious. The chicken curry had a side salad and was beautifully cooked. To finish, a slice of chocolate cake which was amazing. One of the best meals we had while in Japan, the chef knows his way around a kitchen and the flavours all complimented each other so well! The staff were both very friendly, the whole place was immaculately clean and tidy and the atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled. Such a great find when walking around Kyoto.
