Washoku Sato - Hirano-jinja Shrine — Restaurant in Kyoto

We came here a second time in 1 week because we wanted to try the AYCE shabu-shabu. I had Washoku Sato in different country but didn't like it because I thought it was bland. This place isn't. We got the yinyang bowl and got to choose 2 different flavors of broth. We got the chicken broth and the spicy broth. Of course it didn't taste spicy at all but it was still really good. We got the premium combo of beef and pork. Premium allows us to order the other dishes like fried rice, tempura, miso soup, sushi, etc aside from the meat for shabu-shabu. It also includes dessert of unlimited soft serve ice cream. Great service and good food. The only thing was, we had 6 people in the group and they were going to only give us 1 communal hotpot to share. Our tour guide asked for another one so we had 2 hotpots total to...

A bit of a strange place. It says an all you can eat shabu shabu. But soon after, we find food is being delivered to our table at super slow speed, with a 2 hour limit. Vegetables are super tiny portion, around a tea cup plate size. We ended up ordering a quadruple portion. It came in on the same kind of plate, and waitress literally said, yes, that is 4 times portion. I guess all you can eat, but refuse to provide is a sure...

There is lunch menu (11:00-15:00) with sets for around 800-1000¥. Quality of food is like in chain restaurants (Sukiya, Matsuya etc.). We ordered set for 990¥ (rice bowl with beef, rice bowl with tempura and soba) and 890¥ (tonkatsu, miso soup and rice bowl).
