Quick and very efficient service. The server that assisted my family was very friendly and spoke decent English, which was why she was able to recommend some of their signature items on the menu. Only hiccup was when our rice portion was actually given to us at the medium size (which was pretty big) when we initially thought it was a shared family bowl of sorts, but it was okay, as we managed to polish off the rice with the kimchi nabe.
Meat was also pretty well marinated and delicious. Only wished that our command of Japanese was strong enough so that we could have requested for the meat in the kimchi nabe to be changed to something that is less fatty, as we were pretty full after the initial round of meat and was unable to polish the rest of it off.
As mentioned earlier, service was pretty fast and although they had a reservation booked later for 7PM as mentioned by the staff, my family was able to whisk in at 6PM and was pretty much out of the doors by 6.30PM or so, due to how efficient they were. The staff was able to keep an eye on the situation and step in to help us with certain stuff e.g the changing of the metal grill to the kimchi nabe pot at a perfect timing.
Place was very welcoming to foreign tourists as there are many staying in the nearby area. Was a accidental find, but a welcomed one. Highly...
Read moreThis place is close to Kyoto station within 10 min walk. Actually its my first time to try yakiniku offal pork my local friend recommend me, i wouldnt expect too much at first. But wait,. We directly shows google review pics to the staff to make order,
• Pork legs : i was shock cuz its whole big plate full, not only bones we got, but still many parts of tendons & meats on it. And it served in cold conditions, you can eat as it is so you can taste the chewy & freshness. • Slice pork meat : basicaly no marinated base, boiled only, but when you dipped in the sour sauce, oishii. Its going to be 10 if you warm it up in the pan, only warm it not burnt!! • Offal : you can get many kindof organs, all already cut & well marinated so i couldnt identify what parts them was 😆 surprisingly the organs didnt smell strong, after you chew it immediately sipped a glass of beer would be great sensation. fyi: at some type of organ which has big cuts might bit rough to chew, better slice it first.
Seating area was quite spacious & clean. The staff seems able to understand & communicate in english. All the young staff were polite...
