Abu is the hidden secret. There are many good Indian or Nepali restaurants in Kyoto. But this one is unique in that it uses Kyoto veggies...and fresh spices. Behind the wall two chefs..one Indian and one Japanese work quietly out of sight. But prepare for surprises...like gorgonzola nan..or perhaps the Malai tikka...get the malai tikka for sure. She obliged me to order a drink, we can't apparently take just a meal with water. The food is good but the portions are too tiny. I'm still hungry after eating there.
