This place is magical.
First of all let me explain the atmosphere. The restaurant is very intimate, all the seats are at the bar and there is only about 9 seats. The owner will never book the place out so as to not create a cramped setting even though he could be charging for those empty seats. The food. Holy moley (probably shouldn't swear on Google reviews right?) It was amazing. That's an understatement... it was transcendent. Every. single. Ingredient is sourced on a personal level. The owner/chef knows where the chickens live, he imports the salt from Sicily, he imports the olive oil from puglia from a friend. The amount of respect he invests in his produce is inspiring. I can honestly say the best tempura I have had is at this lovely place.
The owner is in my opinion the epitomy of what a good chef is, he is humble, he is attentive to his customers tastes and oh my god does he know how to cook.
Its not often one gets to experience a place like this in their lifetime. I truly feel honored to...
