Tully’s Coffee - Gion Hanamikoji Street — Restaurant in Kyoto

We ordered 2 pancakes, a hot dog and a cappuccino. After a 10 minute wait the buzzer rang and I was informed that they could only do one pancake which I said was fine. After a 25 minute wait the buzzer rang again and we went to collect our order. As soon as I saw the pancake I knew there was something wrong with it, they looked flat, thin and burnt around the edges with a teaspoon of runny cream over it. I tried a couple of mouthfuls and found it dry and hard to swallow. I returned it to the cashier advising her to let the manager know why I was returning the pancakes. After 5 minutes we decided to leave and asked the cashier if she informed the manager, she walked off presumably to his office. We waited for approximately 10 minutes before the manager appeared and I again explained the issue with the pancakes and it would have been better if they had not served it rather than serving dodgy ones. To be fair the Café itself has a pretty calm ambience for enjoying your morning coffe. But as we got our ordered sandwiches we realized that the ambience is in no relation to the quality of food they are serving you. The ham and cheese Sandwich with some salad (containing two pieces of broccoli) on it was wrapped in plastic and tasted cheap and awful. My Mango milkshake was way to sweet and tasted artificial and even the scrambled egg „sandwich“ tasted like a McDonald’s employee itself just handed it to you. Thanks...

I really like Tully’s coffee and pricing, and this place was really nice with its beautiful interior design and variety of seating and tables, making it ideal for bringing a laptop or book or whatever! But the air conditioning is way too strong and it was impossible to place myself where I wouldn’t feel cold due of the cold air blowing directly towards me, because of the amount of air conditioners in...
