せるぽわ — Restaurant in Matsue

We very much enjoyed the great French inspired food and sake/beer here, though the French wine offerings looked extensive and a bit eclectic, too. Don't let the Google photo deceive you. This charming place is two doors to the left of the red and white eatery pictured, up a flight of gray green stairs. The charcoal grilled duck breast, imported from France, was stunning and the local wild boar was satisfying, too. Wine might have been a better pairing. We missed the appetizer set on the menu with home made ham, pate etc. It looked great. It's not fast food. Take your time and savour the experience. The lady who served us recommended some great sake pairings....

レビューの評価が高かったのでふらっと行きました。カウンターとテーブル席があり、内装はフレンチというよりバーみたいな感じでした。飛び込みだったせいかコースはしてもらえませんでしたので単品で前菜アラカルト、パン、メインを頼みました。 アペリティフはシャンパンかビールにしたかったのですがビールは個性が強い地ビールばかりで頼む気がせずワインにしました。 前菜はカルパッチョ(これは美味)　鶏はむ(普通)パテ(塩辛かった)　ハム？でした。凄く待たされました。またパンがかなり先に来たので空腹で前菜が来る前に殆ど食べてしまいました。(一人で調理されているし、遅いと聞いてたので、遅いのに腹はたちませんでしたが、パンが冷める前に前菜が来たらなぁとは思いました。)パンは美味しかったです。 二杯目はたくさんある地酒から えらびたかったのですが(地酒の説明が一切なかったのでお店の方に聞いたら曖昧だったので)またワインにしました。 メインは魚のポワレと鶏のポワレをシェア。(ポワレ二個とはセレクトミス、肉はロティにするべきでした。) 魚はポワレ？主人はシーチキンみたいと言ってました。確かにバサバサでした。 鶏は表面かりっとしていて期待していたのですが中の肉が柔らかくなくてスカスカと言った食感で(_
