Laboratorio — Restaurant in Matsumoto

A lovely establishment perfect for a coffee break. It's on a beautifully furnished second floor of a shop house with high ceilings and tasteful warm decor. Sunlight streaming in through the large windows and you can people watch if you want. Slow piano jazz music at the perfect volume playing.

The English muffin I got was toasted perfectly with moist innards and crunchy exterior. Very impressive 👍they have homemade cakes, tarts, condensed milk.... the proprietress is v welcoming too.

An excellent place to stop for tea or coffee if you're in Matsumoto.

We had their tart of the day, sweet potato, which had amazing pastry.
