They let us share the 2500 Yen set which comes with the usual sides, a wide array of nigiri sushi, salmon and tuna sashimi, a roll and the delicious little bit in the photo (regret we don't know what it was) and a dessert. We also ordered a tempura set for 1100 Yen. The menu actually lists 1000 Yen but the older gentleman informed us immediately and apologized profusely. For drinks I had a grapefruit chu-hi and generously poured and locally brewed Alp Masamune sake and my wife the orange juice.
Bonus: To decide which sake to order the young female server who spoke English brought out three huge bottles and served full shots of each to let me decide which one I liked. Basically a complementary sake flight!
Luckily we got in during an apparent lapse in business and so they had time to speak to us. Not soon after we arrived about 20 people showed up. The staff of four never stopped smiling though as the customers all seemed like regulars who knew each other. They were so busy they forgot to add the tempura set on to the bill. We didn't realize it until after walking out but went back to pay as we didn't want the young lady who made it in the back do it for nothing!

From Azores,...
Read morePlease go to Sushiten. We had a superb experience. Firstly because of the food, which is an amazing value for your money. It doesn't mean that it is just very good and affordable: it is excellent and affordable. The restaurant is a family-owned business, and unlike the vast majority of japanese restaurants, the chef is the mother. She will prepare your sushi with so much care that you will feel guilty of eating them! On an equal foot, the service is full of nice attentions, the young personnel speaks very good english (helpful considering that the menu is in japanese) and you will easily find a japanese neighbour welling to share a glass of sake with you at the...
