This was one of the best ramens I’ve ever had!
When you get to the restaurant, you’ll notice some benches right in front of the door, which work as their queuing system. If there are people there, seat at the end of the line (the bench in front of the door is the start of the queue, and so on) and go moving left as people are called in.
They will give you a menu, so when you enter you already know what to order, which I loved, as it’s very practical.
Once they call you in, you’ll have to order from a machine in the right corner. First, put the money in. The options will light up in green. Choose what you want, one item at a time. The machine will give you tickets for each plate, which you’ll hand to the staff.
Seat and wait for your food to be brought to you. (I think the tatame area upstairs is from groups, and the chairs at the counter downstairs are for single visitors).
I had the deluxe ramen with garlic oil, and the green onion and mayonnaise gyoza. It was absolutely delicious!
I wish I had gone back once more before...

When in Matsumoto, Mensho Sakura is a must-visit if you're looking for a hearty ramen bowl.
We read the reviews and arrived about 10 minutes before opening time. There were about six people ahead of us, so not too bad. They will call you in one party at a time, you buy your food and drinks at the ticket machine and then go take a seat. everything comes out of the kitchen very fast, but they don't pressure you to rush. We really enjoyed the ramen bowl.
The only reason why I am docking some points is that the place needs a deep clean. The amount of dust and dust threads that were dangling right in front of me at the counter, gave me instant allergies. Other than that,...
Read moreVery good ramen in Matsumoto, probably the best i had in the city. There is a long queue every day so I recommend coming here 30 minutes before they open, that way you will be able to get a sit with the first group.
Ramen was delicious and very well presented, one of the best looking ramen I've seen. The broth was a bit salty with slight garlic taste which was perfect.
Noodles were made perfectly and had very nice texture, you can tell they mastered it.
Chashu was delicious and I definitely recommend getting some extra lol
The staff is very nice and polite. They have several menu options and English menu as well so it's very easy to choose your favorite.
Regular portion was just under 1000¥, while the deluxe ramen was around 1250¥ which is a decent price. Thank you...
