The man working at the register has the worst attitude and customer service of any establishment I’ve been to in Japan. He stared at us and refused to come over and help us when we looked at their take away options upon entering, and acted extremely annoyed and short when taking our order and processing our payment.

He refused to seat us on the outside terrace of the tap room or inside the tap room simply because one person in our group was holding a disposable coffee cup from another cafe. His tone was rude and made us extremely uncomfortable - he made it seem like he was doing us a favor by serving us. It was bordering on comical!

We also had to sit in another part of the terrace (literally the same terrace, just separated by a simple divider to signal it was a “public” seating area in the building) to drink our beer simply because of that coffee cup. We do our best to follow rules as foreigners but this seemed totally excessive and ridiculous.

Overall, a horrible experience and the beer was pretty average to boot. If i had been in a smaller group, I would have left on the spot without ordering anything. You’re better off skipping this spot and giving an establishment with more respectful employees...

Dropped by for a couple pints, despite the reviews mentioning bad service I was desperate for some decent craft after a few painful days of choking down macro lagers. Extremely pleased to say service was polite and there were no issues with paying by card - by my third pint the bar staff prepped the contactless card pad without asking. That said I'm pretty direct with my beer orders, I know what to expect with various styles and I just commit to a full pint. Their traditional bitter was especially pleasant, a fair take on the style and a refreshing change from the overly hopped craft beers dominating tap lists these days. A really solid place to have a few beers! This tap room specifically seemed to have a really wide selection. The seating options were all really great too-- you can either sit inside at the bar or at a table, or you can venture outside to the back patio which has a great view and comfy chairs. The beers I tried included the traditional bitter, rice lager, and I believe some other lager/pilsner. I thought everything I ordered was quite good, and they also had a good selection of merch on sale. Give this place a try if you're craving something other than the big domestic drafts you can find...
