This place could be missed since there was no English name written at the street facing entrance. However, we found it on the other side from the square, the walkway was right beside a grill restaurant (Gyu Kaku). The noodles were. I had the tempura with warm noodles. I like the broth. It was not too salty for my palate and quite flavorful. Through the menu present at the entrance was in Japanese, there was an English available. The tempura was nice and crispy. However, if they sit too long, they tend to get soft and a little soggy. The noodles were good (sorry, I don't know enough about the noodles to differentiate between good vs. bad in Japan). The service was great. Would recommend.

We stumbled upon Miyota for dinner on our one-night stay at Matsumoto, during our three-week trip in Japan. The meal that we had here was an eye-opening culinary experience. The meal was so delicious that I am now firmly a soba lover. I strongly recommend one of the Toji Soba Plans set if you are looking for a sobalicious meal. We had the Deluxe Plan set, which might be a bit overwhelming for some. Our waiter, a young Japanese man who spoke decent English, was friendly and professional. I love his honest recommendation.

Because it was featured on the Japanese TV, this place became famous and people are now queueing to eat here. We waited for 40 minutes to get in, only to find that there is nothing really special about it. After 1pm, some dishes were already sold out, so we ordered soba with sesame sauce. It was OK, but this same dish in my favorite soba place in Tokyo still wins. They were also out of soba-yu, which was disappointing. The service needs to improve, so it’s 3 stars at most. There are many other great soba restaurants in the town.

We waited about 40 minutes. Surely it is a famous restaurant. The food is overally good. I love that we got to try different types of dishes in one set. Raw meat horse wasnot smelly at all. Duck hotpot & tempura was also good. The soba is ok, we ate that the last when we were full so couldnot get the tatse thoroughly. On the day we went, the restaurant was understaff, but the one serving us was rather polite and cheerful.

Outstanding soba noodle shop in Matsumoto! We were traveling in the area and knew of Matsumoto’s reputation for good soba. This restaurant did not disappoint! I had the cold soba and tempura set. My wife got the hot soba and tempura set. Both of us loved our meals. The restaurant provided English menus and our waitress spoke English as well which made ordering very easy. Highly recommend this place!!! 👍🏼

【食べてほしいもの・おすすめ】 ・とうじそばプラン シンプル 1680円 ・ざるそば 700円 ・大盛 ＋250円 松本駅前の本町通りと花時計公園の間にお店があります、お店へは道のどちら側からでも入ることができます。 店内は薄暗く少し古っぽさもあり、テーブル席や掘りごたつ席などがあります。 みよ田は海鮮系飲食店を中心に展開する王滝グループの蕎麦店で松本パルコ店と2店舗、市内でも行列必至の人気店です。 基本の蕎麦はもちろんのこと、松本駅前では数少ない郷土料理のとうじそばをいただけます。 駅前の人気店ということもあり少し足が遠のいていましたが、別店舗が出来たりして冷そばなどのコスパの良さを再認識したため久々の訪問になります。 とうじそばは野菜などが入った鍋で蕎麦を温めて食べる松本市の郷土料理です。 とうじそばはコースのみで全員が同じものを注文される必要があるそうです。 温かいとうじそば＋蕎麦の実雑＋せいろそばが基本となっており、馬刺しや塩いか、葉わさびなどその他郷土料理とセットの豪華コースもあります。 とうじそばの鍋はつゆがしっかり入っています、そばつゆベースではありますが塩味寄りでかなりあっさりしています。 具は豪華でネギなどの野菜の他に食感のあるキノコやわらび、小筍の輪切りなどの山菜、お揚げもありますが油っぽさは感じません。 蕎麦は木曽産のようで細打ち、みずみずしさがあり少しの粘りや固さもあります。 細いながらしっかりとした蕎麦は甘みと香りがあり良い蕎麦だと思います。 専用のカゴで温めて野菜と共にいただくのも風情があると考えます。 蕎麦をいただいた後は、従業員の方が様子を見て雑炊、せいろ蕎麦の提供をしていただけます。 雑炊は蕎麦の実を使った非常に珍しいスタイルで玉子でとじていただけます、蕎麦の実は穀物特有の硬さやボソボソ感があります。 淡泊ながら山菜の味、遠くに蕎麦の風味も感じます、やはり鶏肉や揚げの油っぽさが欲しいなとも感じ見明日。 また個人的にとうじそばは雑炊が主役でもあると思っていますが、お米の方が好みかなとも思います。 せいろはざる半枚ほどの量で、蕎麦は上記の通り素晴らしいと思います。 蕎麦粉は違えど、系列店にも似ている印象も受けます。 つゆは甘み寄りですがバランスのいいものだと感じます。 蕎麦をたくさんいただきたい方には物足りない感じもありますが、野菜や雑炊などいただけるので満足感もあります。 なによりこの立地でこのクオリティの郷土料理を一通り楽しむことができます。 コースとしては非常に安価であり、観光される方には非常にお勧めできます。 その他ざるそばや天ぷら類、馬モツ煮なども美味しいです。 雰囲気や設備などに老舗感もありますので、スマートで明るい近隣の松本パルコ店と使い分けるといいかもしれません。 松本駅前の観光などで食事に迷われたらまずオススメできるとうじそばコースがいただけるお店です。
