Simply delicious, there are instructions in English on how to eat the dish. I was recommended to this shop by my AirBnB host, I am really grateful. There is a waiting list when I arrived, I wrote down my name and waited for about 15 mins before getting a seat. The staff tried her best to explain the dish to me in English which I appreciate greatly. The dish features the tai fish mixed at raw egg with some secret sauce. After mixing the fish with the egg, scoop half of the rice and pour the fish egg mixture on to the rice. There are optional topping like onions and ginger. The set also include Jakoten an Ehime traditional dish. It is a kind of fish cake made from a specific type of fish. There are many shops in Matsuyama selling tai fish, you should try this dish while you are here. Visited 30 Mar 2025

I had one of the best meals in Shikoku so far. So you need to blend the raw egg with the sauce that’s already in the bowl, and get your rice out into another bowl, then put your fish, spring onion on top of the rice then pour the egg and sauce mixture on top. A very traditional Japanese way of enjoying rice. The shop is right across from the end the rope way exit on the second floor so you won’t miss it and don’t miss it if you come to Matsuyama!

fish is very fresh and soft. The sauce ans raw egg mix together match with the fish a lot. The side dish are all very delicious . Miso soup is nice. staffs are very nice . no long queue on weekday noon time. you can get a free mandarin juice if you write a comment.

First time having Tai-meshi. It was delicious and I highly recommend this place to those who just finished touring the Matsuyama Castle. This place is right opposite to the exit of the ropeway station.

English, Korean menu and how to eat guide is supported. Sea bream tastes good and the sauce makes the cuisine special. So the taste is totally different with a normal chazuke. I loved it.

Very tasty and fresh fish rice set, with unique sauce and simple guide to make it. We are there after 2pm, and their service is great, still serve us with utmost professionalism.
