Great stop in Nagano..!!! The best authentic Shinshu Soba noodles set in the area. Ordered 2 sets of soba. One with the chili oil and one without. Highly recommend the chili oil with slices of pork. Both were very good. You receive 3 bowls of sauce. Generous portion of soba noodles. But maybe the hidden star was the Tempura...!!!! Just outstanding plate of perfect tempura. Crispy..flavorful, not greasy at all. This place has great Soba but please...please...try the tempura. It is well worth the additional cost which was very reasonable. We absolutely loved this place! The meal was excellent-we tried soba with different dipping sauces and all were delicious. The tempura was good too. The best part of this restaurant though was the staff! Both of the women working here were so friendly and attentive, made excellent sake recommendations, and graciously allowed me to practice my Japanese. Wow, my favourite meal in Japan so far. The ladies were very helpful and recommended us the soba set with 3 sauces. The sauces are SO delicious and very unique. Because there were 2 of us, we had 6 sauces in total - duck, walnut, spicy pork, citrus classic, clam and tomato & classic. ALL OF THEM were fantastic!!! A very unique dining experience and warm restaurant atmosphere....
