Akechishouten — Restaurant in Nagoya

What a find! Well, I didn't actually suddenly find this place. I've been walking past it for the last three year, wondering if it's any good. Yesterday I went for dinner. I am kicking myself for not having gone earlier. This place is wonderful. The size of the restaurant is deceiving. It doesn't look that big, but once you enter the place has a larger section at the back in front of the open kitchen. The décor is simple but functional with menu boards and informational signs everywhere. The staff are fantastic. Friendly, polite, engaging and very efficient. The food is superb. I ended up ordering 6 dishes. Way more than I should have, but I just couldn't stop. I started with the Ham Caesar Salad, a plate of two flavors Carpaccio, and the Pâté. The dressing on the salad was perfect. A light creamy texture that did not over power the salad ingredients. The Carpaccio had slices of swordfish (I think) marinated in soy sauce with pepper corns and a second set marinated in a light soy sauce with wasabi. Again done to perfection with the marine not over powering the fish's natural deliciousness. Put the star of round one was the Pâté. Light flavors contained in a quite firm block that totally just melts in the mount. I would have like some French bread to go with it, but on its own was fantastic. Round two order was the Shrimp Ahijo, sliced Steak topped with Foie gras in a deep red wine sauce. The Ahijo come with French bread to soak up the shrimp, garlic and chilly infused oil. The shrimp maintained their individual favors while taking on just enough of the garlic and chilly to enhance the experience. I have not tasted a better Ahijo. The steak was cooked to perfect medium rare with a good sized perfectly seared Foie gras on top. All smothered in a matching red wine sauce. The only thing wrong with this dish was that I had to share it with the other person. Next time, I'm ordering one each. By this stage I should have known to stop, but the Meat Pie had been staring at me all night, and I could resist any longer. The outside was fluffy, light and just form enough to be able to pick it up without the contents spilling out. The filling was a more like a Bolognese sauce than a meat pie. Still delicious, but not a traditional meat pie flavor. In the end, I was more than satisfied with the cost performance. So much so, I booked a table for two weeks from now. 平日17時に予約して行きました。 ホールの男性スタッフさんは無愛想で提供するにも空いたお皿を下げるにも乱雑ですが、まあ慣れます。アルバイトらしき若い女の子たちは愛想がいい感じです。

2時間制とあり、16:58にお店に入りましたが席につくなり18:50までと言われました。 19:00から次の予約が入っているんだと思いますが、2時間切ってるやん…笑 そして、仲間の1人が予約時間から20分ほど遅れて来たのですが、17:30すぎに予約サイトを通じてお店側から1人キャンセルの扱いに変更されていました。(メールが届きました) 1人遅れますと伝えなかった私も悪いかと思いますが、ネット上でキャンセル扱いに変更する前に、そこにいるんだから一言聞いてくれてもいいのに…と思いました。 (予約時の人数より減る場合、1人1500円取られるため)

ファーストドリンクで人数分のドリンクを頼み、子供がいるのでお水も一杯お願いしたところ、「お水はこれで最後にしてください」と。 確かに「お水のみはダメ、チェイサーとしてなら出します」と書いてありましたが、もちろん子供の分もドリンクは頼んでいるので、お水で済まそうというわけではないのですが…。 ファーストドリンクの時点でそんなこと言わなくても…と思っちゃいました。

お客さんはいっぱいですが、料理の提供スピードは割と早いです。 味は、どれを食べても美味しいです。 ドリンクも安め。

ラストオーダー時に頼んだものを食べきれていませんでしたが、問答無用で会計を持ってこられたので食べきれずに退店しました。

「そんなに守ってほしい独自のルールがあるなら、予約の前にわかるようにサイトにでも書いておいてよ」というレベルのことばかりで、店員さんの顔色を気にする感じで、味は美味しいのになんだか落ち着かないので居心地はあまり良くなかったです。 よく食べよく飲むメンバーだったので、結構お金使ったし、お腹は満足しましたが、また行きたい...

クリスマスに行きました。 結論から言うと気分が悪いです。 一意見ですが、お店側に伝われば満足です。 きっと届かないでしょうけど。

1ヶ月以上前からXmasはここで食べたい！と予約をし、私も彼も、凄く楽しみにしていました。

食べログで、席のみの予約。 予約確定メールも来ていたので安心してお店に伺うと、第一声、「お客様のお名前のご予約はありません。｣「今日はクリスマスディナーコースのみのご予約で、数ヶ月前に予約頂いたお客様には、既にキャンセルのメールを送ってます。」と言われました。

有り得ないです。 客の許可も無しに勝手に店側でキャンセルするんですか？メールで？ 人気店でお忙しいのも分かりますけど、店側の都合で、お客様が予約した内容と変更点があるなら、お客様に電話するなどして、直接コンタクトを取るべきだと思います。 お客様が来店されたときも、まず第一声は、「大変申し訳ございませんが…｣と、思ってなくても一言添えるだけでいいんですよ。

結局、送ったと言われたメールなど迷惑フォルダにも来ていませんでした。 運良くキャンセルが出て1席だけ空いていたので、案内をして頂き、優しい彼はとても満足そうにしてくれていました。 ご飯もお酒も、とても美味しかったです。

店長か誰か知りませんけど、経営者の方は一応、大人ですよね、接客や提供を舐めていませんでしょうか？ 大学生のアルバイトでも出来ます。 このお店で、私のように最悪な気分に...
