Entering was very confusing. I came in and saw I had to change my shoes but didn't see the tablet so I changed them and asked the store staff where to put my outdoor shoes but they rudely just walked me back to the tablet without responding. The first employee put it in Japanese which I can't read very well so it was taking me a little while. When another customer came in after me another staff member came and changed the tablet to English for me and made me start over even though I was on the last question. You have to wait until you finish to put your things in the locker even though the tablet says to do it and then hit next. The staff then communicated with me via a series of English cards. I understand that we had a language barrier between us, but they could have at least smiled at me. Inside, there was a scent of ammonia that was very noticeable. The cats were cute. Some were playful and others not so much. I was very disappointed to see all of the cats were declawed. Two cats were fighting quite a bit, and at one point a staff member had to run over and scoop up a cat that was digging at a chair, clearly about to pee on it. It didn't seem like the cats had anywhere to escape to outside of the main room if they were overwhelmed. There was a child running around playing with the cats and bothering some of the cats that clearly didn't want to be played with. At one point, one of them tried to climb behind the gacha machine to hide from her and no one said anything to the child or her parent. Many of the cats went and cried in front of the staff room or tried to run into the vending machine and...
Read moreGo to PunchiMarry! This cafe is terrible! Horrible rude staff and appalling service.
Me and a group of four friends tried to go and were turned away because they said our fragrances were too strong. Very understanding Immediately apologised and left the cafe back to our hotel where we showered using none scented products and changed our clothes, we did not use any fragrances or even creams or deodorant to avoid having scents on us. Only two of us really wanted to go so we returned to the cafe cleaned and without any products or scents and were turned away again for the same reason. We were very disappointed and confused why they wouldn’t let us in the second time, so we tried to use google translate to explain and communicate with the staff as they did not speak English but they would not let us connect to their WiFi. After only two 3 minutes of this the staff (who seemed to be the manger) then became very hostile and pushed us out the door before slamming it. We left very angry and disgusted to another cat cafe very close by in walking distance called PuchiMarry. We were allowed to enter and play with all the beautiful cats there without any trouble or hassle (we even asked about our fragrances) The staff were very kind, helpful and welcoming to us. I would highly recommend PunchiMarry over this terrible place! I now understand why it was so empty compared to the other cat...
Read moreAs we entered the cafe lobby and greeted the staff in English, the foreigner employee was rude. When locals or Japanese customers came in, we noticed how pleasantly they were greeted and treated with a calming and welcoming tone of voice and gestures. Also as soon as you finish entering through the tablet, the time starts ticking to spend time with the cats at cost - time spent to put personal things into lockers and changing into slippers.
Charged ¥300/person for drinks even if you don't want to but I would say the drink selection is pretty good! Only a few cats were engaging and most were sleeping or hiding. It is quite warm inside. All cats were super...
