SUSURU is a chicken ramen spot that is a little hard to find.

This place is in the basement of a larger building. We came here at night and it was a little hard to find. You go down the stairs and to the left.

You order from an old-school paper ticket vending machine. Cash only from what I remember. You make selection, the machine spits out a ticket, and you hand it to the chef.

The interior of the restaurant was neat, clean, and homey. I felt that it was a little stuffy in here but that could have just been my perception from being in a basement space.

The ramen came out pretty quick. It was really hot. Like scalding hot. Just the way I like it. My noodles came with the clear broth, slices of steak, fishcake, seaweed, bamboo, and the egg. Basic and solid.

Food quality was very good. I ate a lot of ramen in Japan and this spot is on the top half for sure.

Overall, pretty good place. Good food quality. A little hard to find and...

Creamy soup is thick and gives us mellow taste. Maybe you can’t realize it was made from chicken. Shinachikus made from bamboo shoots are softer than other ramen shops and test nice! Shinachikus made good harmony with creamy soup. It’ll give you an amazing experience. Umai, Oishi, you can really feel it! And then, you’ll realize your donburi...

Rich and flavourful chicken based broth - thick but not overly salty. the ramen has great texture, not too firm and the charsiu, may look raw but it’s fully cooked. Adding black pepper enhances the flavour.

You have to order and pay via the machine, and hand the ticket to the staff. There is an English menu on the wall next to...

Delicious, hidden gem! The chicken/seafood mixed broth is very unique and "the best ramen ever tasted" for my partner. It was perfect for the end of a long, rainy day. The rice bowls are generous with a lot of chashu. I enjoyed adding the spicy sauce/mayo for a different taste.
