Furaibo Nishiki Gofuku-dori — Restaurant in Nagoya

Went here on a Saturday night, so naturally their seats were full. We had our name listed, and the staff told us that she will call our number in 1.5–2 hours when seats are available.

We decided to sit down in front of the elevator for a while to think if we should head to a different place instead when a group of four people went inside to reserve their name as well.

Surprisingly they were asked to wait for just five minutes… and we were like, why did she say we had to wait for like two hours? I think one of the guys heard me complain a bit, so when the staff called them to get inside, the guy kindly asked if we should go first because we were already waiting. Turns out that there were many seats inside!

That was fine… but when we billed out, they charged our appetizers for four people instead of just two. If we didn’t see it, they would let us pay extra. How irresponsible! Hahaha.

I love the tebasaki though...

Go for the fried chicken wings, the flavour is pretty good. Ordering is through tablet with Japanese and English menu. Price is not too bad. This location is definitely more catered towards business people so expect it...

ビルの一角にあり、看板が無ければ気づかないひっそり感。 どうも予約でいっぱいらしいですが、一人なのもあってか短時間でのみ入れました。 のちほどグループ客は次々と断られてました。

メニューは手羽先が種類沢山、それにお造りも推しているみたいですね。 お酒は基本が揃いつつ意外と洋酒やカクテルも充実。 席は意外と上質さがあり、白の調理衣を着た料理人さんたちがオーラを出しています。

初手は愛知に来たので知多ハイボール、グラスが上品さを醸していますね。 お通しのもずく酢がわりとさっぱりして良い塩梅。 時間も無いのでつまみは手羽先を５本だけ。 しかしこれが何とも美味い。 カラリと揚がった手羽先の身は、ほんのり甘めなタレとゴマ、そして鶏肉のふっくら感が絶妙。 正直、この手羽先だけで無限に食べて酒を飲めるレベル。
