Centrally located with plenty to see and do. Nagoya castle is only a few miles away. ||My room is small by American standards but it has everything I need. There's a small fridge which was a pleasant surprise. Bed is a double and is comfortable. ||I originally booked one night but added a night so I could see more of the area. ||About the area: very busy especially at night. I suppose there may be a fair amount of prostitution out there. I saw what I think were pimps and their girls. I think it's important, however, to stress that this is nothing like you would see in the states. I did not experience one moment of fear or anything negative. There were families with children, grandparents, etc going about right next to everything. As with many other things in Japan, I guess even the pimps and hookers are well poised and respectful. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family here. ||Another thing. Avoid the famous dish from Nagoya: miso katsu. It's not very interesting and way overpriced. Probably the worst thing I've eaten in Japan, not gross, just boring. ||Oh yeah, the hotel. They have laundry machines that already have the...

No refund for the breakfast was given. I thought this was a red flag because the whole point of paying for breakfast at the hotel is to eat at the hotel before checking out but took the tickets with the intention to use them. At Komeda the next morning (5 min walk away), I find out that the ticket is only good for 1 free DRINK, not breakfast. Extremely disappointed how the hotel handled this. I should have been informed about the unavailable breakfast by phone or website when booking. If not, I want to receive a full refund for the extra money I paid for the breakfast, not a coffee I have to walk 5 minutes to get. I felt cheated and thought the situation was handled unprofessionally and therefore cannot...
