Meat Yazawa — Restaurant in Nagoya

Located on 12F of JR tower where the whole floor consists of restuarants. Saw this place and the menu looked good. Got a table at 7pm without a reservation. Wasn't busy when I got there. I ordered a steak and burger set. The staff were extremely helpful. They asked if I needed an English menu, which I gladly accepted. The waitress who served me spoke English. When my food was arriving they gave me message cards in English giving suggestions how to eat the steak and describing the different types of sauce which came with the steak. I had a beer. Total price over JPY10k for myself. Not bad. Good steak and burger. Very filling as set came with a bowl of white rice. I spent 1 hour in total in the restuarant. As a traveler, I was looking forward to dining at your restaurant, and I must say that the food quality remains good even to this day.

However, I would like to offer some feedback regarding the “Before You Eat” notice. I found the wording somewhat offensive. It left me wondering why customers are expected to follow such instructions — it gave the impression that you don’t really care about your guests, but rather that you dislike people who eat differently.

If your intention is to discourage or exclude overseas customers, then sadly, I feel that message came through. If that was your goal, then...

9月24日、午後4時半頃に入店。 入口に呼び込みみたいな人がいて、ちょっと入りづらい感じがした。 店内の照明はちょっと暗いかな。 正面奥にキッチンがあり、ガラスで中が見られる。 中央に半楕円の大きなカウンター、席は１５。 その回りに４人がけテーブルが８つと、左手奥に４人がけのソファー席が２つ。 空いていたので、好きな席に着席。 テーブルにはすでにメニューがあった。 着席するとすぐにお冷やと使い捨てのお手拭き。 暫くしてオーダーのお伺い。 ハンバーグとサラダセットとデザートをオーダー。 オーダーすると、ハンバーグを叩く音が。 作りおきはしなんだ。叩く回数は40回弱。ビーフ100％でしょ、ちょっと少なくね。 サラダは３分後に提供される。 料理の提供時間は10分くらいで、ちょっと遅いかな。 チーズトッピングのハンバーグ。 早速切ってみる。しっかり焼いてとお願いしたけど、かなり中は赤い。 気に入らない人もいるだろうな。 まず一口、これがここのビーフ100％ですか。普通。 次にデミグラスソースを付けてみる。 やっぱり普通。 私の味覚がおかしいかな。 合挽きハンバーグと変わらないかも。 最後までちゃんと頂きました。 デザートは洋梨のシャーベット。これも普通。

ホールの人のクリアーは早い。 てきぱきと下げていく。これは良い。 でも、4時半に入店した時点でホールに４人は多いでしょ。 5時になって更に２人増えて、びっくり。 多すぎじゃね。 多すぎの人が、ホールの通路を歩き回れるとちょっとプレッシャーになるね。
