Niku-no-Yoichi — Restaurant in Nagoya

I am not sure if they welcome tourists.

There is a hotel right on the opposite side of the road. That’s why there were tourists in this restaurant.

The young lad received us didn’t speak English well but he did his best and used google translate to inform us to wait so that they could prepare a table for us.

However, there were 2 young female waitresses exchanged an unfriendly glanced when they saw us. I swear that we were very humble and not noisy when waiting. I understand that Japan is overwhelming with tourists and lots of the service providers are not happy, but it is not fair to maltreat your current customers who did nothing negative to you.

In terms of food, the ‘curtain beef’ was the best. The premium galbi were just a few pieces of fat as shown in my picture, which was definitely not the standard of calbi. The kitchen staff shouldn’t have put them on the plate and I wonder why the waiter also didn’t refuse to serve the dish. Very disappointed.

I bet local Japanese will have better quality of meat?

Price was very friendly. But I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant...

Food quality was very underwhelming and the service was horrible. No one attended to us for almost the whole meal. When the waiter served the food she didn’t even check if the barbecue was lit (it wasn’t). The meat was delicious, but it seemed a bit pricey for the amount. Also, the Google review gave it a rating of 4.4, but this was because if you leave a rating you get free rice, and without this system the rating would probably be around 3.2.
