The aesthetic and decoration in Nikko Style Nagoya gives off a high end and tranquil vibe and its quality of the service and product definitely fit its style.
The room has sound proof, it is spacious and most importantly dust free. They pay a lot of attention on the details such as multiple charging port, facial products, one time mouth wash and bath salt. Fabrics such as towels and bathrobe are clean. The TV offers many channels including Netflix, HULU etc.
What amazed me most is the extensive list rental items such as running shoes, t-shirts and shorts etc. All for a small fees. I rented a pair of running shoes for 300 Yen. Crazy right?!
Front desk staff is very professional, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They will always provide support to the best of their abilities.
There is also a cafe in the hotel which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and it’s worth checking out too.
Only downside is the hotel only has paid laundry service which is not cheap, and the location is not that near from the nearest train station. Especially when you need to brave through the cold wind during winter.
This hotel also near (3 min walk) the morning market (Central Market) which has many stalls opened in the morning and offers wide selection of meals from sashimi to cooked food too. Convenient stall is 5mins walk.
Overall, Nikko Style Nagoya offer good quality stay which definitely enhance your experience in Nagoya especially...
Read moreOne of the worst hotel customer service experiences that i have ever had in my life. So in early February 2025, i helped my friend to carry luggage to the hotel. When it was completed i went up to put my backpack in the hotel room as a guest. And there was one woman stopped me, in a very rude manner questioned if I was staying in the room, which I already told her no. She said she needed to follow me to the hotel room and I felt that was super inappropriate, so I refused, I went back to ask my friend to put the backpack in her room. That woman then chased me down outside the hotel, and questioned me again if I was staying in the hotel. She doesn’t believe me and ask me to take off my mask so she could see my face without letting me go. I have never seen such a hotel customer service person behave like this before, it was humiliating. Days later i heard that my friend met that woman again in the lift and she was staring at my friend as if they were the suspects instead of hotel clients. That really triggered, I couldn’t believe that when I heard about it. They took the name card of the woman afterwards.
I mean, it is understandable to be careful but that kind of manners are not something a customer service should have, and I am surprised when i heard that she is a supervisor… anyway, totally need some trainings of customer servicing
The hotel looks very nice and the location is nice too but I would never recommend to...
Read moreIf you woke up forgetting where you are and looked around the room for clues, Japan might not be your immediate guess. But your memories could return as soon as you go answer nature's call. That's because the separate bathroom/toilet, and the fancy bidet, are probably the only obvious Japanese element in this contemporary western styled hotel.
The well soundproofed room is spacious enough for 3 adults. Our room had 2 single beds, a single foldable extra bed, a couch, and all the miscellaneous furnitures you'd expect. A humidifier/air-filter is provided, a contraption that I found in many other hotels too. A very Japanese answer to a post covid world. The otherwise standard amenities kit contains single packed mouth wash, something we liked as it's usefully easy to carry around.
There's a restaurant/cafe on level one but we didn't dine there as it served western fare. When in Japan, the only food we want to have is Japanese, except for the time we had pancakes in Yokohama but that's Japanese pancake (I think). I saw a few bicycles in the lobby that seemed to be for hire but they looked too pristine to have been used.
Parking isn't complimentary for guests. It isn't even discounted. But the reason we didn't park in the hotel is because the parking uses a mechanical system which shuts during certain hours. Luckily for us, there's enough paid open air parking just beside the hotel for...
