Fantastic find off the main strip of shops and restaurants. Very relaxed atmosphere serving great food and drinks with a focus on the local awamori. Much more relaxed and calm than originally expected. The husband and wife pair that run the shop are fantastic and are fun to chat with. This is my favourite Awamori bar in Naha/Okinawa. I used to work on a remote island of Tonaki and anytime I was visiting Naha, I made a point to visit Karakara. The food, service and vibes are top-tier. I live back in Canada now, but recommend this spot to everyone who asks me about Oki recommendations and this place has always...

Incredible little izakaya. Strong emphasis on awamori, the local okinawan spirit, with a massive selection all reasonably priced. I found this place looking the reviews of the restaurants around my hostel, the food is delicious, typical food from okinawa, they recommend me squid soba and squid nigiri, I ordered the other two dishes because typical from here and everything was amazing!!!

20220627 ゴリ沖縄を見て興味があったので2軒目に訪問。 9時半過ぎに着くと奥の小上がりとカウンター以外は満席でした。 泡盛を炭酸で割った段ボールを頼んでお通しと一緒に到着。 段ボール・・・本当に泡盛なのにハイボールみたいでした。 泡盛と思えない飲みやすさで香りも楽しめます。 お通しも良い味付けでゴーヤの下処理がしっかりしてます。 苦味は風味程度でアッサリしたアテになってました。 本当は2軒目でお腹一杯気味なのでおそば食べて帰ろうと思ってましたが、お通しが良かったのでもう1品。 ジーマミー豆腐を注文。 そのまま食べると、ジーマミー豆腐にしてはちょい硬め、味は丁度良い感じ。 味噌タレと食べると、濃すぎない味付けの味噌と良くあってます。 段ボールをお代わりして、お目当てのおそば中を注文。 器ごと熱々で着丼。 これは本当に熱いので注意です(笑) まずはスープを1口。 まさにお出汁・・・というくらい優しいカツオのアッサリスープです。 麺は中細で硬め。 噛んでると独特の風味がありました。 ソーキは柔らかくて味シミ。 これでビールもあいますね。 最後の方でグースーを使って味変します。 ワンプッシュだと風味が足されるくらい、もうワンプッシュすると少し辛さを感じられるくらいの優しいグースーでした。 すべて完食してお会計は3000円。 どれもちゃんとしてましたね。 飛び込みの1人でもカラカラ味煮会席2900円は頼めるみたいなので、次は1軒目で会席を楽しみたいですね。 ご馳走様でした。
