I relied on the rating on Google Maps and was pretty disappointed. I suspect the high rating is due to the fact that they offer incentive for ratings. There are signs in the restaurant suggesting free mini ice cream once you show the staff your review/rating on Google Maps. Reading people saying this place is a must eat is insane.

To be honest, if this is taco rice then it’s nothing special. Rice was a bit hard, like it was made the day before. Taste wise, it was bland, no kick no wow. Also, I ordered the passion fruit juice which was 500 yen. It was a box juice literally (saw it).

We had a confirmed lunch reservation and even planned our whole day around it, coming all the way from Chatan. When we arrived, we were greeted by a sign saying the taco meat was sold out and they’d reopen at 16:30, even though our reservation was for 14:00. I wasn’t sure if that only applied to walk-ins, so I went inside, only to find two staff members who seemed completely unaware that we had a reservation at all. Did the restaurant just forget, or did they not bother to inform us? Either way, it was incredibly disappointing and frustrating, especially after how much we’d been looking forward to...

Wow!!! The TacoRice House is incredibly delicious. Tacos are one of my favourite foods and when I arrived in Okinawa I was so excited to try the local speciality, im so glad I came here first. I think it is going to be hard to top this deeply satisfying meal. Everything about the dish was perfect, the staff were super friendly and the vibe is like an authentic beach house. Just passed by and I thought to get my taco rice to eat it during my flight back to Tokyo. I got an avocado taco rice small size, and even so the portion was very satisfying. Not only the shop inside and outside are cute and polished, even the take out box is nicely designed. Even a couple of hours after the purchase the taste was really good! Next time I visit Naha I hope to eat inside.

A must eat in Naha, Okinawa! If you are visiting the bustling city of Naha, you have to stop by here! It's a nice retreat from the filled streets, hidden away in a little alleyway.
