This French quiche restaurant is only a few steps off the tourist highway connecting Todai-ji and Kasugataisha. The result is that we had the place entirely to ourselves.

Lunch is a choice of fixed menus options, both including a quiche of your choice, a wonderful salad, roasted vegetables, incredible potato soup, and a drink (we choice apple juice). It was wonderful getting so many fresh vegetables!

We sat on tatami mats and the space was an older Japanese style tea room vibe.

The freshly baked pies were outstanding. We tried three - chocolate, apple and plum.

Wonderful...

The interior is peaceful, lovely outside garden and the occasional passing deer! The cold potato soup was really good. I loved the sweet potato quiche with small salad and the coffee...
