Azekuraya — Restaurant in Nara

Take this place for what it is, it’s a random restaurant in the middle of Nara by Todaji temple. Expect no frills but the price is decent and the food is decent. Service is reasonably fast. It’s basically everything I would want in the middle of my Nara day trip. I would not recommend the deer curry. I think it’s labeled as beef curry but there’s basically no beef in it. We had a pleasant meal here, served by some sweet older ladies! The shop caters to the tourist crowd and only takes cash, so be sure to carry plenty of cash.
